join us for Holy Week and Easter 2018
Maundy Thursday -- March 29
"'...The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.’ 19 And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover." Matthew 26:18-19. Holy Week continues on Thursday, March 29th as we commemorate the Maundy and Last Supper of Jesus with His apostles as described in the Canonical Gospels. Maundy Thursday concludes with Jesus being handed over to the authorities in the Garden of Gethsemane. Join us for worship (with communion) on Maundy Thursday at either 12:15pm and 6:30pm.
Palm Sunday -- Sunday, March 25
"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." Zechariah 9:9 Holy Week kick's off with Palm Sunday, the festival day when the church celebrates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem prior to Passover. This year's Palm Sunday celebration will include students from our school singing in all worship services and we will have a special time of celebration and update regarding our Love Builds campaign and new building project. Join us for worship on Palm Sunday at 8:00am, 9:30am and 10:45am.
Easter Sunday -- April 1
"But the angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.'" Matthew 28:5-6 Christ is Risen... He is Risen Indeed... Alleluia. Join us for worship on Easter morning as we celebrate Jesus' resurrection and the freedom we now have to come before Him as His righteous sons and daughters. Our sunrise Easter service is at 6:00am (communion) and our large celebration Easter services (all identical) are at 8:00am, 9:30am and 10:45am. Be sure to also join us for breakfast in the gym from 7:00am until 10:00am
Good Friday -- March 30
"And all the people answered, 'His blood be on us and on our children!' 26 Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified." Matthew 27:25-26 Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. Join us for worship as we come before our Crucified Lord at the Cross... "28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 Worship times are 5:00pm (communion) and 7:00pm on Good Friday.
Still have questions
What about parking?
Parking can always be a challenge on big Sundays at Redeemer; this is especially true this year due to our current building project. Plan to arrive early so that you and your family will have time to find a place to park. We will also have our shuttle bus up and running to help you get from your car to the front door. There will be a lot of people on campus this Easter so plan to arrive early.
If there is anything else we can help with, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will there be breakfast?
When we celebrate here at Redeemer, food is always included. Breakfast on Easter Sunday begins at 7:00am and goes until 10:00am (or until we run out of food). The breakfast menu this year will include breakfast tacos, cinnamon rolls, assortment of fruit, and beverages... so come hungry on Easter Sunday for Jesus and a great breakfast.
Will there be children's programming?
We are changing the Children's Easter Egg Hunt up a bit this year. We won't have the Easter Egg Hunt as we have in the past, but something EVEN BETTER! It will be an EASTER FAMILY FEST! In the morning on Easter Sunday from 9:00am-11am we'll open the gym and the playground for children and their families to experience some hands-on Easter interactive stations. HE IS RISEN is the theme for this years Easter Family Fest and when you walk into the gym you'll see that every letter of R.I.S.E.N will represent a different station. We can't wait to see you and your family at this exciting new event!
