Vision for Redeemer
My vision and continuing prayer for Redeemer is that we continue to be a place for imperfect people to find a genuine connection with a perfect God, through His Son in worship, music, and bible study.

About David
Born in Islip, New York, I was six weeks old when my family moved to Delray Beach, Florida. My dad was a Lutheran School Teacher, Principal, and Director of Christian Education, so we moved where ever God was calling. My mom was also a Lutheran School Teacher, but she stayed at home to raise me and my four siblings. Along with New York and Florida, we lived in Houston, Texas, Beaumont, Texas, La Grange, Texas (we like Texas:)), and St. Louis, Missouri.

After high school, I enlisted in the United States Army and spent two years on active duty stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia. That time of great personal growth was followed by undergraduate work at St. Louis Community College and Concordia University, Chicago (then River Forest). During that time of undergraduate work, God began to form my skills and interest in music, technology, and worship. From that time forward, God has blessed me with many opportunities to serve His church and His world by providing planning, leadership and performances for special events and worship services, both near home and around the United States. I have also been blessed to be involved as a technician, performer, producer, and composer for audio/visual presentations, videos, dramas, video and radio program themes, special events, solo recording projects, and music for theatrical productions.

My wife, Coreen and I met at CURF, married in 1996, and started off in Painesville, Ohio. We then headed to Indianapolis, Indiana, and then back to our Alma Mater in River Forest, Illinois. After a long stay in the frosty north, we headed to Houston, Texas, and eventually we landed in the awesome (and usually weird) city of Austin, Texas. We have been blessed with three wonderful and very creative children, Seth (11), Elizabeth (8), and Luke (4). We love being at Redeemer and in Austin, serving in our community, and being part of God’s work in the great state of Texas.
